Amazon develops a special bracelet that can decrypt the emotions

Amazon would research a connected bracelet that can decipher human emotions, Bloomberg announces. The digital giant is looking to develop software that can recognize emotions based on the intonation of the voice.
Amazon would develop a connected bracelet that can decipher human emotions. The digital giant describes it as a product for health and well-being, adds Bloomberg who has accessed internal documents and collected a testimony of a person on this subject. This project is the result of a collaboration between the team that developed Alexa and the Lab126, specialized in hardware, at the origin of the Echo enclosure. The bracelet is designed to work with a mobile application. It has microphones and software that can discern the state of mind of the person through the intonation of his voice.
The project, known as code "Dylan", would be in beta test. But the news agency does not know if it is the prototype of the bracelet that is tested and / or the software of detection of the emotions. Amazon's research teams are encouraged to test new products, but not all of them are marketed. Contacted by the news agency, Amazon did not wish to comment on the information.

Joy, anger, sadness, sorrow, fear, disgust, stress, boredom ... the digital giant filed a patent in 2017 describing a software that analyzes the voice to recognize different emotions, details Bloomberg. For example, a woman tells Alexa, sniffing that she is hungry, and the voice assistant, who then senses that she has a cold, offers her a recipe for a chicken soup. Beyond health and well-being, this system could be used to better target advertisements or refine product recommendations.
