Android users will now be able to login to Google Apps with a fingerprint
Google's latest updates will allow Android users to login to Google services and supported websites with a fingerprint instead of a password. This update is for all devices with Android 7 Nougat or newer. This feature will be the first to appear on Pixel devices in history.
This feature will first ask users to scan their fingerprints for specific Google services.
Google will then ask you to log in with a fingerprint.
This method will be useful in apps and on the web. This authentication method is built on FIDO2 standards. W3C is a simple but secure method of logging in from WebAuthn and FIDO CTAP biometric data. In fact, the FIDO2 standard has made it possible to log in with fingerprints on apps and websites that support the local fingerprint API on Android.
